Dimitris F. Triantafyllopoulos MD was born in Athens. He graduated with honors from the internationally renowned Semmelweis Medical School. He specialized in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Hospitals Center Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois – CHUV and Hôpital Orthopedique de la Suisse Romande – HOSR in Lausanne, Switzerland under the guidance of Professors Pierre – Francois Leyvraz, and Alain Farron.
He was mentored by Orthopedician George Kyritsis and decisive guide by Orthopedician George Maragoudakis where he worked exclusively with him at the Tzanio Hospital.
After completing his residency he worked in various Hospitals in England as a salaried curator and is registered with the GMC as a Specialist Orthopedics Surgeon and holds the title of Consultant.
In Greece, he is active exclusively in the private sector and is the Director of the 2nd Orthopedic Clinic of the Athens Medical Group - Peristeri Clinic.
In his clinic, advanced techniques are performed in knee, hip, shoulder and ankle surgery with arthroscopic or open techniques, while at the same time he directs the Department of Bloodless Orthopedic Surgery.
